MVX was a blockchain project designed to provide lightning fast transactions for a relatively cheap transaction cost (at the time).
The project was cancelled indefinitely after the 2022 bear market crash.
Our Task
We were contracted to design the: branding, logo design, landing page, front-end wallet, and explorer for the MVX Blockchain.
After design approval, development begun on the landing pages and wallet application.
This was approximately a 3 month effort which required a team of 5 full time developers, animators, and designers.

Wallet App
The MVX Wallet could operate as an online web application or a mobile app. A web browser extension was developed, by the client, which would allow users to securely access the web wallet.
Our client had requested that the UI Design of the wallet be fairly simple and straight forward.
Wallet Core Functions:
- Create Multiple Wallets / Addresses
- Send
- Receive (Display receive address)
- Include a News Section for Project Updates
- Allow User to easily swap assets
Explorer
In addition to the wallet, we needed to design a web based blockchain explorer which allowed users to see critical information such as:
- TVL (Total Value Locked)
- Transaction Volume
- Recent Transactions
- Blocks
- Assets Launched on the MVX blockchain
Branding
The idea was to have a feeling of “currency” and represent the letter “M” at the same time. At the time, their transaction speeds and costs were considered low.
So the line going through the “M” was also supposed to represent speed or movement. This is also what the name “MVX” stands for; Moving “X” – X being any wrapped asset on the MVX blockchain.
Conclusion
This was a fun project and an exciting journey to go on, launching an L1 blockchain is no simple task.
Given the current funding and market conditions at the time, it was probably the best decision for our client to pull the plug on the project.
We did gain a lot of insight into the planning and development of a fresh blockchain through the process. We hope to be involved in more projects like this in the future.
